SH0689 ultraviolet fluorescence sulfur analyzer uses ultraviolet fluorescence method to determine the principle.

In line with ASTM D5453, SH/T 0689-2000 and other standards, suitable for the determination of total sulfur content in crude oil, distillate oil, liquefied petroleum gas, plastics, petrochemical products, food and other.

After the sample was introduced into the high temperature cracking furnace, the sample underwent cracking oxidation reaction.

At a high temperature of about 1000℃, the samples were completely gasified and oxidized, and the sulfur compounds in them were quantitatively converted to sulfur dioxide.

Reaction gas carried by carrier gas, through the membrane dryer to remove the moisture, into the reaction chamber.

Sulfur dioxide is irradiated by ultraviolet light at certain wavelengths and absorbs this radiation to divert some electrons into high-energy orbits.

Once the electrons have returned to their original orbitals, the excess energy is released as light, detected by a photomultiplier tube at a specific wavelength, emitting fluorescence that is completely specific to the sulfur and proportional to the amount of sulfur in the original sample.

After being amplified by micro-current amplifier and processed by computer, it can be converted into electrical signal proportional to light intensity, and the sulfur content of the corresponding sample can be calculated by measuring its size.

Scope of application: It is suitable for the determination of total sulfur content in gasoline, diesel oil, lubricating oil, crude oil, distillate oil, liquefied petroleum gas, gas, natural gas, plastics, petrochemical products, food, coal and so on.
